glamorous! Polonia Palace Hotel gives you the chance of staying in luxury! Me and my husband spent there 4 days and our stay was just glamorous. The hotel has a high quality furnishing with spacious rooms. Hotel staff is very professional and polite. I really needed a rest so the hotel gave me the best! I relaxed my mind and body at the Technogym. My husband loved the rich breakfast including delicious French cheeses, wine, vodka and also caviar. The hotel is close to everywhere. We both were fascinated in the Old Town. Its architecture and charming atmosphere were unique! It is only a short drive from the hotel. We will definetely go back and recommend it to anyone 4.6

Best in town? Right in the middle of Warzaw. Excellent service, beautiful interior. Friendly and helpful staff. A touch of the old europe. Drink a cosmopolitan in the bar, during happy hour, and have a chat with the bartender. Start the day with a great buffet, dont forget a small vodka as a starter - in spite of all your are in Poland!

"Wonderful Hotel" Just returned from 4 nights at the Polonia Palace. Probably the best 4 star hotel I have stayed in in europe and better than most 5 star I have visited. Oozes class and style and in a different league to the typical chain hotels. Recently completely refurbished to a very high standard. Double bedded room was immaculate and kept spotlessly clean. Dining room took your breathe away. Breakfast was a mixture of hot and cold buffet and excellent. Lovely cafe and bar in hotel. We booked with Hotelopia and had an excellent deal. Very helpful staff. Hotel is located between the main financial district and the shopping area. Several large department stores opposite including C&A and H&M. Main railway station 200 metres away. Bus and trams stop outside hotel. Old town square is about 25 minutes walk away past numerous shops, bars and retaurants. Bar prices in hotel reasonable although the restaurant prices were on a par with prices in the UK. Eating out was far cheaper and you could get a reasonable meal in a decent restaurant for £3- £5. Beer averaged about £1.25/£1.50 a pint in most bars. If you're wondering what Warsaw is like, its a mixture of old and new. Much of it has been rebuilt since the war and the architecture is very impressive. The old town is very pretty with many restaurants and bars. I was surprised at how stylish and unspoilt it was - no stag parties like you see in Prague. Visit Warsaw and stay in the Polonia Palace - you wont be disappointed.

"Jewel in the crown" The only surviving pre-war hotel in Warsaw. General Eisenhower stayed here as have most Polish celebrities and international diplomats. The hotel was only recently opened in December 2004 after being closed for a major renovation for a few years. The results are breathtaking ! The hotel lobby guarantees a "wow" factor but even this is eclipsed when you dine in the hotel restaurant. It looks like it belongs in the Palace of Versailles ! Our evening meal which was one of the most expensive on the menu only came out at under £ 20.00 per person for a main course and dessert. The meal was accompanied by the beautiful sounds of an even more beautiful harp player in the corner of the restaurant. The location of the hotel is superb. Opposite the Palace of Culture (TIP: ask for a room with a view and if available you'll see the Palace right in front of your window). The hotel is conveniently located, within easy walking distance of the Centrum railway station, Metro and buses to the airport. And all of this for slightly more than the price of a Travel Inn in the UK !!!

"Has to be the best in two months of travel" I have read all the reviews and every positive you have read is ditto, ditto and then some!!. If you spend the time to book on the Internet via one of the Internet hotel providers at a reasonable rate , you will get one of the cheapest and best 5 star, yes 5 star not 4 star Hotels available in Europe. The rooms are superb and comfortable. The beds are magnificent. The service and attention to detail is exemplary and the Breakfast is at the very top end. This is not an American breakfast as described by one reviewer, it is a European Breakfast, an American Breakfast and any sort of breakfast you could envisage, right down to the whole Salmon and the chef preparing your choice of Omelettes on the spot. All served in a Grand Dining room that many people came again and again just to take photos. The waiters are the best and I can't forget the beautiful white Villaroy and Boch China on all tables and the impeccable linen and flower arrangements.. The hotel is great and a must if you are going to Warsaw which by the way is very very cheap except for maybe the Taxis. Be prepared for a culture shock at the Central station where beggars and undesirables can be particularly aggressive. We were treated to a fairly unpleasant site on arrival at Central station which I will not describe for fear of upsetting readers but the Polonia Palace only a short walk from the station was a wonderful place as the greetings were fantastic, the service wonderful, right down to the Reception staff escorting us to a Automatic teller machine to get some money. It is such a nice place that after our unpleasant experience we briefly thought that 3 days based purely in the Polonia Palace may not be a bad idea. But Warsaw demands you get out there , the Old and New cities are a wonderful example of painstaking and dedicated restoration and the results are a credit to Poland. Warsaw can be a bit bleak but the Polonia Palace glitters. Shop to you drop to put PLNs back into Poland and stay at the Polonia Palace and take a day or two to explore the city and it's attractions. It should be well worth it. By the way even at the Polonia Palace our most delightful accommodation in two months of touring Europe we did not find hot coffee. We are still looking for it.

"Wonderful Hotel with a Great Staff" We stayed for 2 nights last week at this beautifully restored hotel. It reopened in the spring of 2005 after being closed for a couple of years for renovation. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning is 5 stars! served in the beautiful dining room. Location is perfect with the train station a 5 min. walk away, tram stop just feet from the front door. The staff (including those who speak English) were helpful and offered excellent advise and directions. The place is GREAT! and I would stay again in a heartbeat!
